Challenge
The existing purchase journey consisted of 8 steps, complicated by regional technical constraints and telecommunications compliance requirements. On the marketing side, the website lacked a unified structure, which resulted in inconsistent page layouts and slow update cycles within the CMS.
Solution
E-commerce Workflow: I collaborated on the redesign of the buy flow, reducing the process from 8 to 5 steps. The solution integrated API-driven logic to handle real-time address validation and regional service availability. This optimization brought the journey in line with the current industry standard of 5-step transactional flows used by top-tier fiber providers.
Modular Website System: I led the architecture of a modular website system. I designed a library of reusable modules with defined variations, allowing the marketing team to build and deploy pages within the CMS using a controlled set of components. This ensured structural consistency across the site.
Cross-Platform Integration: I contributed to the Design System by adding new UI patterns that synchronized the e-commerce flow, the modular website, and the internal CSR (Customer Service) tools.
The Outcome
The system is currently in production and undergoing continuous optimization as new service plans are introduced. The modular architecture has significantly improved CMS performance, providing the marketing team with greater versatility and flexibility to launch updates. This foundation ensures that Fidium can scale its regional presence while maintaining consistent visual and technical standards across all digital touchpoints.
